Fisker's Project Nina will get BMW Engines
You’ve probably got used to stories about Henrik Fisker’s eponymous car company, makers of the convincing range-extender sports saloon, the Fisker Karma. But you may not be quite as au fait with Fisker’s future plans – Project Nina. Project Nina is Henrik Fisker’s equivalent of Tesla’s Model S – it’s where a niche car maker goes mainstream.
Toyota Motor Corp., under fire from fresh quality complaints about its popular Prius hybrid, says it conducted a software fix to address reports of slipping brakes. But the world's biggest carmaker didn't notify customers at the time of the change. And it says it is still uncertain how to handle the thousands of Prius vehicles that were sold before the fix.
MG Icon SUV heading for Beijing
The MG Icon – a compact SUV Crossover – has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Beijing Motor Show. Men with beards and pipes will be dismayed at the news that there is going to be an MG SUV, but there is and it’s the MG Icon – which might be setting the bar a but high. Looking like a cross between and MGB GT and a Juke, the MG Icon is expected to share a platform with the MG5 and MG6 and be powered by the 1.5 litre four-pot SAIC used in the Chinese versions of the MG and Roewe.
